Batista Movie Updates, Batista’s New Entertainment Company Signs Production Deal


WWE Legend Batista’s new entertainment company has signed a major new film production deal.

Batista’s recently founded Dogbone Entertainment has signed its first film production deal with FilmNation Entertainment’s recently launched film production label Infrared, according to Deadline.

Dogbone and Infrared will focus on developing and producing features, and in many of those films, Batista will star and produce.


Batista previously worked with Infrared’s President of Production Drew Simon on the 2020 “My Spy” movie while Simon was at STX, while FilmNation handles international sales of the Batista’s “In The Lost” movie starring Milla Jovovich. .

Batista founded Dogbone in 2022. The movie and TV outlet will focus on genre projects, but will also delve into dramas. Infrared wants to make mainstream films with franchise potential. The label plans to produce three to four mid-to-high-end budget films each year in the action, thriller, comedy and sci-fi genres.

Batista noted in today’s press release: “On behalf of Team Dogbone, we couldn’t have asked for a more ideal partner than Infrared. This is a huge opportunity for us and we’re getting started on the ground. Personally, I feel immensely blessed to be working with my friend, Drew Simon, again. My respect for him is immeasurable and I look forward to every second of us working together to bring great stories to film.”

Simon added: “Dave Bautista is a world-class entertainer and a bright creative, and we couldn’t be more excited to start producing with him and his team at Dogbone Entertainment. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Dave on countless films, and the process is just as fun and rewarding on screen as it is behind the scenes. We already have several great films in the works together and we look forward to announcing them soon.”

The Animal most recently starred in Netflix’s “Glass Onion: Knives Out 2” and he’s currently filming the sequel to “Dune”, and also has Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy 3” on May 5, 2023. He also recently wrapped up M. Night. Shyamalan’s “Knock at The Cabin,” which will hit theaters on February 3, 2023. Batista will star and produce in Netflix’s “Unleashed” movie in 2023, and will also film the MGM Lethal Weapon-esque buddy cop comedy starring Jason Momoa, which originated in a Tweet from August 2021 by the former WWE champion.

The future WWE Hall of Famer revealed an injury and surgery over the summer, and also recently discussed his new Florida tattoo parlor.
