Big Gimmick Match Revealed For WWE Extreme Rules, Updated Map

A Strap Match has been announced for WWE Extreme Rules.

In tonight’s SmackDown, Drew saw McIntyre come to the ring to address Karrion Kross and how Kross kept attacking him from behind. McIntyre had a leather strap wrapped around his fist and then announced that they will compete in a Strap Match at Extreme Rules. Drew said the match is designed to keep Kross from running away and to inflict maximum pain.

Scarlett then came down the slope and tried to distract McIntyre so Kross could attack from behind. Drew fights Kross and tied their hands to the belt. Kross tried to fight back and gain the upper hand, but McIntyre slammed him around the ring with the belt. Scarlett eventually ran into the ring and threw herself on her husband to keep Drew from attacking. Drew turned, then turned back to Scarlett and Kross, but she sprayed a substance in his face. Kross then attacked again, but McIntyre got the upper hand until Scarlett dropped him with a low blow from behind. Kross threw the belt on McIntyre and went out of the ring, but came back and set him down with the Kross Jacket entry. Kross taunted Drew as he sat in the hold, telling him this was what they wanted and Drew kicked it. After the commercial, the announcer aired a rerun of the segment and Scarlett was shown shooting a fireball in McIntyre’s face, which may have been just a post-match edit. Below are a few shots from the Kross – McIntyre segment.

WWE then confirmed Kross vs. McIntyre in a Strap Match for Extreme Rules.
