A title change that saw Chris Jericho defeat Claudio Castagnoli and win the ROH World Championship for the first time in his career opened the AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam last Wednesday.

Cary Silkin, the former owner of Ring of Honor, was attacked outside the ring by Jericho while watching the match. Silkin appeared on Busted Open Radio, where he talked about Jericho becoming champion.

“Definitely, Chris Jericho pays more attention to the ROH letters, but he has Claudio [Castagnoli] there he has Bryan Danielson, Jay Lethal which I don’t think has been used at its best, far from it. But I’m not the man with the pencil. But there are plenty of men of true Ring of Honor ancestry. Dalton was there… I was glad to see that. So, hopefully when this comes together there will be a bit more of the old school Ring of Honor vibe.

It was a great experience. Jericho gets his [for putting his hands on me] and it will be interesting to see what they do with him, but as Tommy pointed out, the Ring of Honor title will get a lot more attention and hopefully lead to this pie in the air TV deal that Tony Khan has been working on and I think he is.”
