Ric Flair recently spoke on a wide variety of topics at his being the man podcasting.
In doing so, he recalled that Sting portrayed a Joker gimmick in TNA Wrestling. The WWE Hall Of Famer noted that his favorite version of Sting was in the 1980s when he had blond hair and wore colorful tights, despite Sting’s best known for his dark black and white scarecrow gimmick.
“I did not like it. That doesn’t mean it was bad. I’ve told him a hundred times that I like the Sting with the curvy cut, blonde hair, and vest, and I always will. I understood the other because some guys want to change. Taker became a biker Taker for a while. Then I worked with him. He will always be The Undertaker and Sting will always be Sting. He will not be remembered as Joker Sting. I can tell you. He is still an icon. He is an icon. He is an active icon.”
