AEW superstar and currently injured women’s champion Thunder Rosa recently appeared on Busted Open Radio to discuss the arrival of Saraya, who debuted for the promotion last Wednesday during last Wednesday’s Grand Slam Dynamite special at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Highlights from the interview are below.

Says she hopes Saraya will be allowed to participate in AEW:

“I hope she’s all set to wrestle. She’s going to teach a lot of the girls a lot of cool things that they wouldn’t be able to do otherwise. Wrestling was her bread and butter for a long time and she knows the grind.”

How Saraya wrestled in the Indies before joining WWE:

“Before she signed, she struggled in the Indies, just like everyone else. One of the things Saraya has is that she hasn’t changed her core. She remains the same person she was before. I am very interested in getting to know her on another level.”

Says Saraya is a star and has everything she aspires to:

“So it’s going to be very interesting. She brings a lot for the women’s department. She brings a brand, something that is also needed in the division. You can’t deny that. I know Tony does a lot of things because he wants reviews. We want to be number one. If you start something and you don’t want to be number one, don’t start it. But for me as an athlete, for me as a champion, that’s top competition, in every aspect. Experience, persona, character, no matter how famous she is, she is a star. She has what I want and what I aspire to.”
