WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H wants legendary boxer Tyson Fury to join the company.
It is rumored that Fury has been returning to the ring for WWE for a few years now, since he made his in-ring debut with a count-out win over Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel 2019 in Saudi Arabia. Fury made a special appearance at WWE Clash at The Castle earlier this month, starring Drew McIntyre and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, and there are rumors of a match with McIntyre.
In an update, Triple H spoke to Sporting News recently and revealed that he and Fury had a lengthy chat in Cardiff earlier this month.
“I think Tyson Fury is nibbling to get into the ring,” said Triple H. “The question is which ring will he step into? Will it be the boxing ring or will it be the WWE ring? We were just together in Cardiff, we talked for a long time. He’s as in love as ever that he wants to do this with us. I think he knows he has some big fights left in the boxing world. I think he’s going to benefit from those fights.”
Triple H went on to say he wants Fury to come to WWE, but he also wants Fury to return to the boxing ring.
“Selfish, I want him to join us. Also selfish, I want to see those fights. So I hope he takes that off and I hope he stays interested because I think with the dedication and the drive he could do something special with us too,” he said.
