Good news for Patrick Clark, formerly known as NXT superstar Velveteen Dream.

PW Insider reports that Clark’s battery and trespassing court hearing has been canceled and the case is expected to be closed. The allegations were that Clark punched and bitten an employee at a Florida gym on Aug. 20, an incident first revealed by TMZ.

The report states that the prosecutors in the case did not believe they had sufficient evidence against Clark to obtain a conviction, therefore the case was “not fit for prosecution”.

Clark’s legal troubles are far from over, however. His arrest of the August 20 incident led to a previous probation violation from an arrest that took place in November 2021. That night, he was charged with possession of cocaine, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, destroying/altering/hiding physical evidence , and has no lamps/lighting equipment in his vehicle. He spent 25 days in prison and was officially released on September 13.

Clark has also made headlines for his back and forth with EC3. You can read about that here.
