WWE releases 70th match for the first time, WrestleMania 39 match, more for Spanish Heritage Month


WWE is currently celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.

WWE announced this week that they are sending a family to WrestleMania 39 in April with a match for Hispanic Heritage Month.

“WWE brings families together: WWE superstars, WWE employees and WWE fans. This Hispanic Heritage Month, WWE celebrates the importance of families and how we are one universe together. This month, WWE fans get the chance to send in a message about what WWE means to their families and who they want to bring together, with the ultimate prize of reuniting at WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles in April! Stay tuned for more information about the #WWEFamilyReunion Contest!,” they announced.


Details about the competition will be announced shortly. WWE will also be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month on their social and digital platforms for the rest of September.

In that regard, WWE today released the new episode “Best Of WWE: Celebrating Hispanic Heritage” on Peacock and the WWE Network. The episode lasts 3 hours, has 10 segments, and is hosted by Matt Camp.

The playlist features a rare 70-year-old match WWE released for the first time ever, featuring “Professor” Roy Shire vs. Rito Romero from Texas Wrasslin’ on October 26, 1954. The match was taped at The Sportatorium in Dallas, TX.
