WWE SmackDown Viewership and Key Demo Rating with Logan Paul’s Return

The live edition of WWE SmackDown on Friday attracted an average of 2,212 million viewers on FOX, according to Nielsen, via Showbuzz Daily.

The latter number is 6.54% lower than last week’s final viewership of 2.367 million viewers for the live post-Clash at The Castle show.

Friday’s SmackDown received a score of 0.50 in the top 18-49 demographic. This is 12.28% lower than last week’s rating of 0.57. The rating of 0.50 for last week’s main demo represents 652,000 18-49 viewers, down 12.36% from the 744,000 18-49 viewer who pulled the 0.57 key demo rating the previous week , according to wrestling.

SmackDown ranked #1 in ratings for the top 18-49 demographics on network TV, even ranking #1 the previous week and the eight weeks before that. SmackDown was ranked #3 on the 18-34 demo this week, down from #2 the previous week. SmackDown was #1 on the 25-54 demo, even holding #1 last week and the 11 weeks before that. SmackDown came in at #6 for the night in network TV viewership, down from last week’s #5 ranking. While SmackDown topped the night on network TV in its main demographic, Dateline topped NBC’s viewership with 2.768 million viewers, also with a demo score of 0.31.

Friday’s SmackDown drew the thirteenth highest total audience of the year to date and tied for other episodes for the twelfth highest ratings of the year’s most important demos to date. Friday night’s sports competition included College Football on ESPN and NASCAR on the USA Network. Friday viewership was 6.54% lower than the previous week’s episode, while the main demo rating was 12.28% lower than the previous week’s episode.

Viewership for Friday’s SmackDown episode was 1.38% lower than the same week in 2021, while the ratings for the main demos of 18-49 on Friday were 13.79% lower than the same week in 2021.

Florida State vs. Louisville College Football on ESPN finished the night on the Cable Top 150 with a demo score of 0.77 and also drew 2.753 million viewers. The Five on FOX News topped the cable with 3.065 million viewers, also with a demo score of 0.17.

Friday’s SmackDown was broadcast live from the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA, with the following lineup announced in advance: Logan Paul’s return, Ricochet vs. Sami Zayn, Bayley vs. Raquel Rodriguez, plus The Brawling Brutes vs. Empire vs. Hit Row vs. The New Day in a #1 Contender’s Fatal 4 Way, the main event.
